McEneny cited for contribution to the field of

March 11, 2005. PurchasingNet, Inc, a leading provider of eProcurement and ePayables solutions, today announced that Tim McEneny, PurchasingNet’s President and CEO is one of six industry executives selected for Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine’s 5th Annual “Pros to Know” award.

The February/March 2005 issue lists McEneny as one of the Top Solution Provider executives with a background as a practitioner.

“Tim McEneny is credited with creating the first commercially available PC-based purchasing system in 1982, and the first ever Web-based purchasing system in 1996,” according to Supply & Demand Chain Executive.

“The 2005 Supply & Demand Chain Executive Practitioner Pros to Know have demonstrated a high degree of leadership both within their companies and in the broader supply chain field,” said Andrew K. Reese, editor.

Before co-founding PurchasingNet, Tim was a supply chain management practitioner from 1970 to 1981 where he implemented ERP systems at companies such as Singer, IBM and Sara Lee.

“Tim’s efforts in developing tools and processes necessary for supply chain transformation and promoting new approaches to supply chain enablement, have earned him a place on this year’s Provider Pros listing,” states Reese.
