PurchasingNet, Inc. Receives S&DCE Software 100 Award
Second Year in a Row Procure-to-Pay Solution is Recognized
Red Bank, NJ
July 9, 2007 – Supply & Demand Chain Executive magazine, the executive’s user manual for successful supply and demand chain transformation, this week awarded PurchasingNet, Inc. (www.purchasingnet.com) its S&DCE Software 100 award in the June/July 2007 issue. This is the second year in a row that PurchasingNet’s Procure-to-Pay solution, PNet, has achieved this status with the publication.
Six years ago, Supply & Demand Chain Executive announced its first “100” list of supply chain solution providers, consultants and other organizations that were helping lead the way in transforming companies’ supply and demand chains. PurchasingNet was recognized as a P2P innovator in the inaugural “Top 100” list in 2001.
This year, the magazine focused the criteria for its “100” feature on the 21st century supply chain. “Our readers turn to Supply & Demand Chain Executive to learn about new solutions and best practices for enabling the supply chain, to understand trends in supply chain technology, and to benchmark their own companies’ enablement initiatives with those of other enterprises across industry verticals,” explained Andrew K. Reese, Editor of Supply & Demand Chain Executive. “Our goal with this year’s ‘100’ was to highlight a broad range of solutions and services targeted at a variety of industries, addressing the needs of companies of varying sizes, and assisting in the transformation of a diverse mix of the functions that make up the supply chain,” added Reese.
Supply & Demand Chain Executive identified leading providers of supply chain services and technologies who are at the forefront of innovation. Based on submissions to the “100” from end users and solution providers, the judging committee for the “100,” including the editorial staff of the magazine, in conjunction with the editorial advisory board, compiled a list of leading supply and demand chain innovators.
“We have a long history of developing innovative technologies for procurement and payables professionals,” stated Tim McEneny, President & CEO, PurchasingNet, Inc. “It’s great to be recognized for our contribution to our profession,” McEneny concluded.
